Register of Business Enterprises – 2023 filing deadlines

The Register of Business Enterprises has recently announced this year's deadlines for notification of company decisions that require creditor notification, including demerger, merger, capital reduction, dissolution, etc.

If you wish to implement one of the decisions mentioned above before the end of the year, the following deadlines for electronic submissions apply:

• Decision notification must be submitted by October 9.  
• A notice of execution must be sent after the expiry of the creditor notice, but no later than December 4.

If you submit a paper register notification, the following deadlines apply:

• The decision notice must be received by the Register of Business Enterprises by October 1.  
• Completion notification must be received by November 30.  

The Register of Business Enterprises' announcement does not mention deadlines for notification of company decisions that do not require creditor notification, including, for example, capital increases. These follow the Register of Business Enterprises' normal processing time, which is updated at all times at https://www.brreg.no/bedrift/nar-blir-saken-min-behandlet/. If it is important to implement such decisions before the end of the year, we recommend that you act in good time. We often find that the case processing time can be long towards the end of the year.
