In record time, AGP has become Norway's largest specialized law firm in transactions. Despite troubled markets, the volume of orders is growing. Therefore, the law firm employs more lawyers and support functions. Among other things, they bring in two new partners: Peter Tranvåg Skutvik joins as financing partner from Schjødt, while Kim Hellstrøm Christensen comes from Wiersholm and will lead AGP's transactions within commercial property.

- We had high ambitions when we started, but now we are accelerating our growth plans and see the need to implement an expansion that we didn't really envision until three to four years from now, says leading partner Lars André Gjerdrum.

Peter Tranvåg Skutvik comes from the position of partner in Schjødt. He has previously worked at the law firm Michelet and other law firms. With his broad experience in financing, he will join AGP as a partner with a main focus on banking and finance. Peter has broad experience in assisting Norwegian and international clients in a number of sectors with everything from acquisition financing and project financing to traditional business financing. Peter also has particular expertise in financing energy companies, and has assisted in many of the largest bank and bond loans raised in the energy sector in Norway in recent years.

- I have seen what AGP has achieved since they started and they have convinced. Now I look forward to taking part in the further journey in a pure transactional law firm and strengthening them further with my expertise in foreign financing, says the new partner Peter Tranvåg Skutvik

Kim Hellstrøm Christensen comes from Wiersholm, where he has been since 2014 and has experience from other law firms since 2008. He has been named by Legal500 as a "Rising Star" in commercial property in 2022, 2021 and 2020. As a partner in AGP and with his broad transaction experience from commercial property, this will be his main focus in the law firm.

- The first time I set foot in AGP's premises, I thought that it must be easy to feel comfortable here as a colleague and as a customer. Now I look forward to strengthening their investment in transactions in commercial property, comments the new partner Kim Hellstrøm Christiansen.

In addition to Peter and Kim, Maria Heiberg Styrvold joined AGP a short time ago as a partner in transactions/M&A. Maria came from Wikborg Rein and is another experienced lawyer who has chosen a specialized law firm in favor of one of the "Big 5". In AGP, she advises Norwegian and international clients in all types of transactions, including acquisitions, equity transactions, fissions/mergers, reorganizations and other M&A transactions.

- Since we started AGP in January 2020, we have grown rapidly and become a significant player in transactions/M&A and capital markets. With Peter, Kim and Maria on the team, we further strengthen our transaction profile. We are now looking forward to embarking on 2023 with many new employees and new assignments, says Lars André Gjerdrum, leading partner at AGP Advokater.
